4 Walls

I see life beyond...

Strange how different life is..
We co-inhabit these walls..
We live with each other..
We lack so many things..
We seem to not understand the life we lead..

I see a whole world ahead... Windows and doors lead out to it..
In this day and age we are still bound..
We have the technology to move mountains..
Technology to expose our souls..
But even this has no baring on what we capable of..

It would seem even words are useless in use..
Past experiences hinder progress..
Hurts others..

There's no false declaration in the fact we always thirst for more..
Hunger to be part...
Need to feel we aren't the only dwellers locked into the 4 walls..

Words set us free...
yet having them hold us prisoner...

What happened to us...
Why are we judged by the ability to understand others..
The need to partake in others's plights..
Reading others's tales and experiences should make us richer..
Empower us to feel..
Instill value..
Open our souls..

But too often we judge..
Most often we sneer at those less fortunate...

I want to understand...
I want to read the worlds view...

Yet I'm locked in these 4 walls...
Curtains drawn..
Doors locked...
Light fades and all I'm left with is my ability to touch..
Yet I can't feel.......
